Conquering Kilimanjaro
Conquering Kilimanjaro for a Cause. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m teaming up with the incredible Everest Team once again, but this time, we’re setting our sights on a different summit – Kilimanjaro. As I prepare for this awe-inspiring adventure, I want to share with you not just the excitement but also the meaningful reasons behind this new expedition.
You might remember my previous journey with the Everest Team, where we faced the challenges of high altitudes, unpredictable weather, and the sheer power of Mother Nature. It was an experience that changed my perspective on life, pushing me beyond my limits and reminding me of the importance of resilience.
This time, our mission goes beyond the personal. We’re embarking on this adventure to raise further awareness for a condition that is very close to my heart – Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS is a condition that often goes unnoticed, yet it inflicts catastrophic neurological pain, ranking even higher on the pain spectrum than amputation or childbirth. Those who live with CRPS deserve recognition, support, and hope.
My goal is to raise £40,000 for a selection of small charities that make a real impact across many different causes and the money will go to where it’s needed most. These are organisations that genuinely channel their resources to help those in need, without allowing big bonuses to senior board members. It’s about putting your faith and donations into the hands of organisations that prioritise the cause over gain.
Our climb up Kilimanjaro isn’t just a physical journey; it’s a symbolic ascent. It represents the courage and determination that individuals with CRPS and other debilitating conditions display every day. Our adventure aims to inspire hope in those who are suffering, letting them know that they are not alone and that there is a community of people who care about their pain and well-being.
After the climb, I’m not stopping. My mission extends beyond this adventure, as I intend to continue my work as a motivational speaker. I’ll be offering my services to public schools with no to low budget at reduced rates, with a focus on delivering a message to young people – a message of resilience, determination, and the unwavering belief that no matter how many times life knocks you down, you can always get back up.
So, join me on this incredible journey as we climb Kilimanjaro, raise awareness for CRPS, and support small charities that make a real difference. Together, we can spread hope and encouragement, reminding everyone that they have the power to conquer their own personal mountains.
Stay tuned for updates on our journey, and thank you for your unwavering support!
Let’s climb mountains together, for a cause and a better future.
